My transport really messed up on Saturday night not made pleasant by the coach driver suggesting the a £30 cash-now payment could rebook me because my ticket had been wrongly booked. So instead of getting back at 8am today it was 2 pm and some £60 poorer.
That said, I did have a better day with the kids that I suspect my wife wanted (CW will understand that one) and I met up with one of the 400 or so thalidomide survivors (a significant depletion has taken place as aging victims of the drug hit the bottle or the buffers in handling their disability).
Her eyes lit up when the idea of riding a trike, set up for minimal arms was explained, but I reckon a bike is possible with a bit of tweaking - showed her a few pictures and stories, I suspect you'll have a visit on-line especially with your memorable blog name. So your pictures are timeous. Tick box (you too) for putting a bit of good in the world today.
Ahhh, thank you Dave, it's good to know I am inspirational now, by name only. (Even if it is the tomato one!!)
I'm glad things seem to be settling a wee bit into a routine, for you. Are you going on the YH weekend? I think Kev and whoever hoped to pop into Sheffield, not sure when though. But it would be good if you could bring them, maybe?
Hey, you managed to post photos! Well done!
ReplyDeleteUrm afraid not, it was my 11 year old daughter!!!

That bike, I mean trike, looks excellent. I'm very jealous.
