It's all gone black :(
Ok i'm sorry for being vague, my close encounter with a younger man ;) is fast becoming a distant memory. Have I got 'Gullable t*' written on my forhead?
And I'm ashamed to say, the least cycling I do the less I feel like doing it. I have to have an incentive or a motive, so the school runs about my limit and because I'm low, I don't feel like my health and happiness are a big enough drive, today. :(
Hey, no fair - you've encouraged me to get back out there riding. Next week I'm due to be setting off on a 4000 mile circumnavigation of the British Isles - you can't step the encouragement now!!!
ReplyDeleteCome on (young) woman this is just you feeling a bit crap because you've not pulled. Many years ago at uni I went through a full year enjoying good company and completely sanguine with making no effort to engage in any 'meaningful' activity. I renounced girl friends but enjoyed the company of a batallion from the monsterous regiment who were - every one of them - my lady friend(s).
ReplyDeleteTrue there are some things which offer greater stimulation but they are not the be all and end all, and as I've often observed the relationship you can have with your bike (or trike) can be fulfilling in its own sort of way - a sort of lover on 2 (or 3) wheels.
You've a whole stack of things we want to hear about you doing in your own kerry-fisted way - and regaling us with the glorious innocence of a novitiate discovery. Plenty of people just keeping that eye open to make sure you don't do anything too harmful or outrageous, but just as you let kids fall off bikes to learn that showing off is not clever before they try the same idea in a car, the little upsets are all part of the learning process.
