I don't want egg on my face, again. So I'm not getting too excited, but on Thursday the 10th of Feb, Jeanette Thompson, Hannah Boneham. Steve Marsden, Nigel West, and Myself are meeting for a coffee, in Pollards.
I cycled to see my Mum, which took me about 2 mins to get there and an hour to battle back against the wind. I cab tell I've not done it for a while.
I whimped out Fri PM and Saturday, hiding indoors from the wind. I did go out for 45 miles on Sunday morning and the wind was ok... Whitey doesn't seem too much so that is alright.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you, glad you're ok. Are you and Carol calling in on Saturday? You are Rob, :)
ReplyDeletejust think the extra effort will make up for not cycling so much over the last few weeks, dont know where rob was riding sunday.derbyshire was a horrid place to get to sunday headwind all the way,and on the way back depending which way you come back in to town
ReplyDeleteStopped to use laptop in car near Crewe so I got to Kendal for morning coffee on Sunday - enjoyed Cheshire micro climate - no wind no rain. It hit when I got into Cumbria with at least 4 floods to drive through.
ReplyDeleteExpected difficulty cycling 4 miles to collect car on Friday but top gear most of the way, dodging huge holes in the road.
Leeds rider reported having to pedal downhill in 2nd gear but quid pro quo was freewheeling uphill on way back.
Off to look up new word for this week - perhaps orthorhinolaryngology - nah that does my head in...
Blow your nose, that usually helps :)
ReplyDeleteI was riding South Derbyshire out into Staffordshire with a little bit into Leicestershire on the way back... Was windy but less difficult riding than I was expecting :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, Carol tells me I'm booked to wonder over on Saturday morning. I assume the two of you have set up all the details and I'll just get on with the fixing...
