Yet more Secret Squirells!!

But listen to BBC Radio Sheffield, on Monday at 8.30 am!!

Couldn't go to Hillsborough, :( I had to look after my wee boy who wasn't well. I couldn't resist going to the Chemist for him, because apart from taking Holly out this morning, I knew I needed a bit of exercise. But it is difficult still for me to get in and out of my trike. Has anyone got any used flexible inner tubes they could let me have please, to use as brakes?

Karen tried to steal Holly!! I think, she'd have gone as well!!

  1. We had this conversation about brakes before.

What you need is "Toe Clip Straps". Perfect tool for the job, honest.

  3. Cool.

When you get them, you thread the strap through the buckle like in here

(you can ignore the pedal, you are just making a loop)

Then you will find you can tighten the loop by pulling on the loose end of the strap and loosen it by pressing on the part of the buckle that stands up above the end it is attached to. You might want to practice on something before putting them round Ziggy's brake levers!

Once you get the hang of them you should be able to loop round a brake lever and handlebar to hold the brake on. Hopefully you will also find a place to keep them when they are off the brake lever, like just round the handlebar or round the handlebar and the back of the brake (loosely!).
