Interesting what's happened in Birmingham!!

Hi, Ooooooh me back!! I sound and feel older than my 44 years. But I cleared the garden today of melted toxic toys, helped assemble a trampoline. My lil boy preferred to go to the Park with his mates, as apposed to myself. So I was left fetching embarrassing cream from the Chemist!!! For my son honest!! I do like mooching round at home s'times. And I'm so stuck what I'm gonna wear for the Palace, I'm gonna have to get a spray tan!!! But what happens if it rains?

It's Hillsborough tomorrow, and I've bought some chocolate buns :)

And Thank you to Kev and Steve B, who have answered my request for tee shirts with titty space :D sorry that's very immature of me!!
But I will feel much better cycling wearing a tee shirt that at least makes me feel important, well I can pretend :)

And, erm, spray tan? Probably against protocol.

    Best

  2. You are keeping your secrets from us, and we can't have that can we. So what is happening or came to pass in that semi-reformed motor-city (at least they've demolished the Bull-Ring and chopped the Inner Ring Road but the Aston Excessway remains). Look at Birmingham and be thankful Sheffield only got the M1 Link although that is bad enough, and the Barnsley Road gets close to the Bristol Road as a place you wouldn't want to ride without an escort.

So did you get an RNIB comment? They must have replied direct and left cc'd people out of the reply. It really does amaze me that many groups focus on a very specific aspect of a disability and that may well (literally) trip up others - for example the insistence that a vertical step between footway and carriageway is needed to help those with some visual impairments but a flush join is important for those who use wheels and the vertical step for those with partial sight cannot be properly 'seen' leading to trips and falls. They even manage to get the ribbed surfaces completely the wrong way round - so that the people with wheelchairs and prams like to go on the cycling side and cyclists are sometimes brought down by hitting the ridges on their side at a shallow angle, and would be safer riding over bumps which run across the path.

Don't fake anything ;-o you know it don't work for some things and it certainly don't work for sun tans. As widely discussed up here "The future is not Orange" and wear sensible shoes!
